2009 - 2010 "Investors Dream or Landlords Nightmare?"
We have been purchasing single family houses since 2006. That was during the height of the Real Estate bubble. Prices were high, rents were up. Not the best time to buy a rent house. Especially right before one of the worst housing crashes in U.S. history. All the information I discuss here is strictly from my experience and viewpoint. Though I do follow mentors and experienced investors, I probably strayed off path a few times, which can make or break a real estate investor. I am grateful to say, that I am still in the game and could come out in very good shape when market conditions change directions and peak again. Real estate investing can be one of the most forgiving types of investing, allowing for many mistakes along the way. Which I try to minimize all the time.
